Jazakhaa Allaah kheiran. VERY Beneficial!
BaarakAllaahu feeki
As salaamu alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuhu, naam please keep posting these fawaaid May Allah give you an immense reward and cover you with His Rahmah and Maghfira! I would like to know if you know the grade of an hadeeth in Abu Dawud 5073. Shaykh Ibu Baz Allah yarhamhu stated this hadeeth as hasan but I couldnt find any reference to it being such. O Allah whatever blessings have been received by me or anyone Your creation is from You alone, You have no partner. All Praise is for You and thanks is to You.
Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem
Wa `alaikumus Salaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh
JazaakAllaahu khairan for your reassuring comments and likewise your du`aa. Aameen
As regard your question:
Shaikh al-Albaanee said about the hadeeth in ‘al-Kalimut-Tayyib’ (p.73):
“Its chain of narration is ‘da`eef’ (weak); and those who declared it to be ‘hasan’ have made a mistake, or been lax; adh-Dhahabee said: “`Abdullaah ibn `Anbasah is hardly known”…”
Concerning `Abdullaah ibn `Anbasah-who is the narrator who narrates it from the Companion.
Imaam adh-Dhahabee said in ‘Meezaamul-I`tidaal’:
“…He is hardly known…Aboo Haatim said: ‘Truthful, he is not strong’; and Aboo Daawood and an-Nasaa.ee said: “weak (da`eef)…”
I hope the above speech from the scholars has cleared up your query.
BaarakAllaahu feek.
