  1. Abu Sulaymaan says:

as Salaamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,

May Allaah have mercy upon your father and our beloved elder, the mu’addab, Abu Talhah Dawood ibn Ronald Burbank and your mother Umm Talhah, Allahumma aameen. Please keep this Blog going yaa akhi, upload the translations that were done by your father. Wallahi yaa Saad, your father has done allot of khayr and has impacted lives that he (rahimahullaah) never expected. Allot of people came to know the truth by way of his translations and lectures, may Allaah have mercy upon him and may He (‘Azza wa jall) grant him and your mom al firdaws al a’laa. I am writing this with tears in my eyes, I’ve never met your father but I have not heard anything but khayr about him. From what I have heard from other brothers is that he (rahimahullaah) was a Zaahid, an ‘Aabid. A man not flattered by this transitory world. These are qualities that are very rare in the West. He was a man who is old enough to be my father, so I have nothing but love, respect and reverence for him (rahimahullaah). I truly hoped to meet him one day, but QadarAllaahu wa maa shaa fa’ala.

Akhi Saad, I ask Allaah to give you and your siblings strength during this trial, I know how it is yaa akhi, I’ve lost people who were my close kin. Make du’aa for your father and your mother, and we hope to meet them (may Allaah have mercy upon them both) in Jannatul-Firdaws one day.

    your brother,

    Abu Sulaymaan
