Your site is wonderful, Masha Allah. Please keep it up and post more articles…

    • Jazaakillaahu khairan for your comments and beneficial input.

      • Assalam aleykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
May Allah grant al-Firdaws to our brother Dawood Burbank and his wife.
May Allah grant his children patience in these times. Ameen.
I have set up a publishing house back in 1997 and Abu Talhah – although I have never met him – has been a source of inspiration for me, and an example. We published a translation into French of the commentary of the Three Principles (as well as other books), by late Shaykh Muhammad Al-Uthaymeen – rahimahuLlah and no doubt it looks very similar to the one Abu Talha did, may Allah add this to his good dees.
I request you contact me – as I heard you are his family – for something important related to our brother – rahimahuLlah, and that I would like to share with you.
Unitl then, may Allah protect you, wassalam aleykum, Yaqub

Assalaamu “alaikum Brother Saad bin Daawuud bin Ronald Burbank,

It has been a pleasure to discover and read parts of your web-site. The title is of your site is very inspiring and reflects the highest concern with the imparting of, and implanting – bi-idhnillaah – upon the athentic Sunnah. May Allaah grant you, your father, and all your family excellent health, strong imaan, and istiqaamah on Allaah’s Diin.

I am trying to learn Arabic. I hope you can devote some attention to translating material which shows the salaf’s concern with learning the Arabic language and how it plays a fundamental role in binding us to the Sunnah.

    Wassalaamu “alaikum

    • Wa `alaikumus Salaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,

  7. Safiyya Farah says:

May Allah commend you on uprightness on the Dawatul Salafiyah , I love your website. I have learned alot on your website even though I’ve only known about it for a couple of days now.  When I read your website i think about the wise statements of Ibn Rajab

“Acquire knowledge because doing so is good. Seeking it is worship. Reviewing it is glorifying Allah. Researching it is jihad. Teaching it to the ignorant is charity. Serving the scholars is a way of drawing near to Allah because knowledge is the path of ascension to the stations of Paradise. It is a companion in isolation and a comrade in distant lands. It speaks to you in solitude It is a guide to prosperity and a shield against adversity. It beautifies one among friends and is a weapon against enemies. With it Allah elevates people and makes them guides and bellwethers of good. The scholars are people whose words are sought and whose actions are imitated. The angels long for the scholar’s company and comfort them with their wings. Everything, the fish of the sea, the beasts of the earth, the predators of the land and sea, and the cattle pray that blessings come upon him. This is because knowledge enlivens the heart against ignorance, illuminates the eyes against darkness, and strengthens the body. It transports the servants to the mansions of the select and the righteous and to the highest ranks in the world and in the Hereafter. Contemplating it is equivalent to fasting, and reviewing it is equivalent to the Night Prayer vigil. With it, kinship is united and the lawful is distinguished from the unlawful. Knowledge is an imam which leads to righteous actions. It is craved by the people destined for Paradise and shunned by people destined for Hell.”

  20. Ali Shah says:

    Salalaikum

Very good website but somethings are missing like topics on Jarh Wa Tadeel? Why don’t you have links to salafitalk.com. spubs.com ect. Make yourself clear that you are a salafi.

    Walakumsalaam

    • Ali Shah says:

Also have talks by Abu Khadeejah, Abu Hakeem Bilaal Davis, Dawood Adeeb, clear salafi brothers upon the sunnah . More topics on Jarh Wa Ta Dell by our GREAT scholer Sheikh Rabee Bin Hadee madkhali.

    • Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem

From Saad ibn Daawood Burbank to brother Ali Shah

JazaakAllaahu khairan for your comment. Then I hope the following provides an answer to both of your comments inshaaAllaah. The topics we have used are complete, and we do not plan on adding any further topics. We do not do Jarh or Ta`deel of anybody ourselves; rather this is something we leave for the scholars to do whenever they see it fit to do so.

As a side-point, then the primary concern of general folk like ourselves should be on Tawheed and the correct `Aqeedah; and this should not be overtaken by being overcome with matters of al-Jarh wat-Ta`deel.

Like you mentioned, salafitalk.com, and spubs.com have vast resources which we can all benefit from, so I can only direct you toward them.

We do not have links due to the never-ending nature of the list that may result in such a section being created. These salafi websites are well known alhamdulillaah.

As for your comment “make it clear that you are a salafi” then by having links to salafitalk.com and spubs.com does not automatically qualify you as a salafi. I would hope from the authors of the works uploaded onto the site that you, or anybody could see that they are well-known Salafee shuyookh. The likes of Shaykh al-Albaanee, Shaykh `Abdur-Rahmaan ibn Naasir as-Sa`dee, Imaam al-Bukhaaree, Ibn Katheer, Imaam Muslim and other than them – to mention but a few.

As for audio, then we do not upload audio onto this blog. Rather it is article is purely information based in the form of articles. We do not wish to duplicate that which is already present, as that would not benefit.

I hope that the above has sufficed inshaaAllaah.

We ask Allaah to aid us upon His religion, and increase us in both knowledge and action.

      Allaahumma Aameen,
      Wa `alaikumus Salaam wa rahmatullaah
      Saad

  21. asaffat says:

Assalam alaikum wa rahmatullah Sister Umm Mujaahid,

It seems as if your desire to unsubscribe from the list stemmed from not having your comments posted. If this is true, then I would ask you dear sister to continue to adorn yourself with patience and mercy. If there was any time to overlook any perceived negativity, for the Burbank family, now is the time.

Let’s let them grieve without giving them something more to grieve about. (I am not saying you did that.)

      Allaahumma Aameen.

All praise is for Allaah; that He has allowed others to benefit from the efforts of my father.

As for stories relating to my father and mother, I do not see this blog as the appropriate platform for the like of this.

As is stated at the top of this page: “The aim of this blog is to make available beneficial knowledge: knowledge derived from the Book of Allaah -the Most High- and the authentic Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger -sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam- , along with the understanding of the Pious Predecessors (as-Salafus-Saalih); and to convey translations of useful articles pertaining to this blessed knowledge and its carriers, the scholars.

Although I appreciate your point maashaaAllaah, there are threads available that you can read with regard to the like of this, that mention to some extent what you have requested.

This website of yours is absolutely wonderful and filled with benefits. Allāhumma baarik. May Allāh reward you immensely, aameen. Please keep working on it regularly. We have become too accustomed to the sound bite like Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah mentioned. Our attention span has reduced so much owing to social networking sites like Twitter etc. We need websites like these to be continuously updated and active. I ask Allāh to make our affairs easy, to grant is istiqaamah, to fulfill our wishes and aspirations, and I ask Allāh to have mercy on our parents, to forgive those who have passed away and to bless those who are alive, aameen. May Allāh grant Jannat al-Firdaws to Ustaadh Abu Talhah Dawood and his wife, aameen.

I am here to seek your permission to allow a non-profit for Dawah team of few brothers from India to translate some of the beneficial works on this site into an Indian local language for general benefit of Muslims there. To reassure, we do not do this for any profit or sale except to seek the Glorious Face of Allaah. (Salafiyyah is non-extinct in our region!)

Please do let me know if we are permitted for it. Do let me know should you need any clarifications. Baarak Allaahu feek.
